My Shih Tzu Roscoe had what I thought was pink eye. Been to a couple of different vets, and was charged over $400 at each one for ridiculous diagnosis and treatment that didn't work. First off, vet care isn't cheap so don't expect to get your animals tested and treated for a couple of hundred dollars. Not going to happen. If you really want to get screwed, try the emergency vets in Gilbert. They have no mercy. I found these guys very reasonable, though I know they were taking it light on me because of the other issues I'd had with other vets. The booking online and walk in thing is a great idea. Sometimes I'd imagine they're busier than others so hopefully you're not going when there's a rush, but they move quickly and efficiently to keep up. I was lucky and didn't have to wait long. But given in my area, Coolidge/Casa Grande, you're waiting a week up to a month for an appointment, this place is worth the trip. I think they try to be conservative with their treatments and didn't get the sense they were out to screw me, as other vets have, but they are certainly worth giving a chance for non-surgical treatments. With any review system there are going to be those that are unhappy for one reason or another. I'm not saying to ignore them, I'm just saying be reasonable and try to understand nobody is perfect and mistakes can be made. What matters is what they do if one is made. I've got 5 dogs and 5 cats. I'll definitely be going back. Try getting an appointment anywhere else for the same day and see what happens. I'll gladly drive the 40 mins there rather than waiting days or weeks for my babies to get looked at, even if they aren't perfect all the time. No vet is. Simple fact....more
